Word Filled WednesdayI am so grateful and thankful for His wonderful promises found in the bible and I thank Him for this encouraging verse. I pray that God will open my understanding to His words and then give me the grace to obey them. I do appreciate being able to lie down and have a restful night sleep.

Keep your eyes straight ahead

Word Filled Wednesday

Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Proverbs 4:25 (The Message)

This verse is one of my big reminders. Often times I had a difficulty to focus on the thing that I need to accomplish. Every moment of my day being swayed with distractions sealed in an envelope with a word IMPORTANT and sometimes I am so preoccupied with distractions that I don’t know what my objective is. Whether we like or not distraction is one of our daily enemies and we need to condition our mind to deal effectively with it.

Happy WFW and visit the160acrewoods for more.

You watched me grow…

Word Filled WednesdayIt is so encouraging to know that our children are in God’s hands, and that He is watching over them, even before they lived one day. I love this verse in The Message version. Visit The 160 Acrewoods for more Word Filled Wednesday.

Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day (Psalm 139:16)

I Will give you a new heart

Word Filled WednesdayIf you have bitterness towards others ask God by His Spirit to give you a new heart toward that person.. He is the ultimate good Father. He can redeem the damage feelings or hurts, we experienced if we really come to Him (these speaks for me too).

A dream comes through much activity..

June 24th, 2009 8 comments

wfw-2008Have you ever watch or observe someone who is all talk and no action? There are people who spend more time arrogantly talk about what they are going to do than actually doing it. They usually stuck where they start and never get anywhere.

Ecclesiastes 5:3
A dream comes through much activity,
And a fool’s voice is known by his many words.

We don’t get our dream fulfill when more time is spent talking about them than praying and working toward achieving them (that speak for me too).

Be anxious for nothing

June 17th, 2009 8 comments

wfw-2008sm1Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

be anxious for nothing

This verse is my encouragement today and I hope it does for you too. The problems of life can be a burden on us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Yet, as we learn to trust in the Father’s care, we can have the peace that not only surpasses all understanding but also overcomes our anxiety. We can be at rest for we are in God’s hands. When I keep my minds on God,
God will keep my minds at peace.

Pride comes nothing but trouble..

By pride comes nothing but strife;
But with the well-advised is wisdom.
Proverbs 13:10 NKJV

Pride is behind every dispute that results in strife. The pride spoken of in this verse is referring to one being arrogant and proud. If two people are unyielding and arrogant when they disagree about something, it will always produce argument and trouble. If we desire to get along with others, we must humble ourselves and not take the opinion that we are better or smarter than others. We may be right in a situation and yet act in a wrong manner, thus defeating our position.

As he thinks in his heart, so is he..

It’s WFW again and I love it. It’s like I am creating my memory verse, meditation and graphic of the week. This week WFW hosted at extravagantgrace.

wfw_as-he-thinks

I began meditating this verse in 2006 when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. I was so worried about my pregnancy that I have to comfort myself and what better way to do it with the word of God. I found this verse really connected with my situation at that time and in fact this is one of my memory verses during my labor.

We often struggles with fear or anxieties and these are two examples of strongholds. In order to begin to take authority over our thought life we need to be aware about what we allow into our minds and what we allow ourselves to dwell on. For instance, when we start analyze our situation it can bring worry, doubt, confusion and can alter the way we think about that situation. It then becomes easy for the negatives to be enlarged and consequently these thoughts overpower and damage our faith in God. Whatever we meditate on will have a hold and control of our life. For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. It therefore follows that if we focus on a problem, it will magnify but if we focus on God, He will be magnified.

Knowing this, why allow all the negatives to be magnified? And why allow the enemy devil the right to continue to enforce them?
