My girl use to play doctor doctor when she was three years old with her daddy. We bought her some toy’s equipments for operation tools, and I even made a pretend lab coat for her. Now she is six years old, she discovers play doctor games online, with hospital stimulation.
She enjoy changing her lab coat with different colours and design that can be select from the garment section. She requested me to make her rose coloured lab coat with some glitter on it. Sewing rosy lab coat will be my next sewing project.
It’s the 2nd day of 2011 and here’s my first sewing of this year. Dresses for my girl.

I know, the result should be on 11 May as I mentioned in my previous post. I am down with fever since Monday, and I am recovering. I notice after the fever my skin is very dry, especially on the face. It’s itchy and uncomfortable. A friend of mine mentioned that I can apply a bit of wrinkle removal cream to soften the dryness. I might give it a try later.
So here is the drawstring bag giveaway result. Random.org choose the comment no 3 bytescorner. Email has been sent. Thank you all who participate.

I have finished making my Mother’s Day giveaway gift yesterday. I could finish this in less than 3 hours if no interruption. I started in the morning for an hour and stop to attend the request of my little toddler and other interruption at home.
I manage to finish all by night. I wasn’t sure of naming this bag my hubby says it’s a sling bag. I visited whimsy loft blog recently and fall in love with her drawstring bag creation and got the idea from there, and I called it drawstring bag. You can make 3 styles out of this bag as shown on the picture.
If you want to participate in my giveaway, just leave a comment with a valid email address. If you are a follower of my blog leave a comment twice. The winner will be chosen using random.org and the result will be on Tuesday 11 May morning . (+8.00 Pacific time).

Mother’s day is next week and I’m trying to finish my giveaway gift. I just finish making a basket from the kid’s outgrown clothes. I shall use it to put all my thread, and maybe I might try to make equestrian clothing and hubby will say “this will take years until you can master the skill to make such a clothing”.
My soon 4 year old girl likes anything that is pink in color, such as pink dress, pink shoes, pink umbrella, pink ties, pink water bottle and more. She loves other colors but her preference is always pink. Somehow most girls are wired to this color due to its perception of feminine, soft, cute and lovable.
Her 4th birthday is coming soon and she wants a pink princess dress. I need to start getting all the materials and start sewing. On my other sewing project update, on the picture is the latest dress I made for her recently.
After my first project adventure in sewing, I have tried making other items like handbag, skirt, pants and dress. I admire those mummies who really can sew and have a creative mind. I can’t come out with an instant idea to create a sewing pattern on my own. But thanks to the online information which has lots and lots of great idea and free pattern to download. I have so much fun learning and downloading those patterns, and I have not allocated a place for my sewing room at home. We have 2 empty rooms, and I shall start working and decorating the sewing room which I don’t know when it can be done. When it is up maybe I can start another adventure, making personalized photo mug. Hehe… hubby was saying.. ‘You have not even completed your sewing project’… I saw a shop having promotional mugs recently, and I was so tempted to own those mugs.
Anyway on another sewing project update, I made a tote bag for my girl. A tote bag made from her used outgrown pants. A combination of 2 used pants, then I cut it into 16 rectangle pieces and voila! A tote bag. I use my used jeans short pants for the letter ‘B’. I suddenly realize that I have a lot of used clothes which we don’t use anymore, and I might as well use it for my sewing thing. I bought quite a number of fabrics recently, and I have not started using them. So much for sewing post, I shall end it now.
