New bundle of joy…

May 22nd, 2010 No comments

A friend of mine gave birth to a baby girl earlier this month. This is her first born and definitely priceless. I remember when I had my first born; the sleepless nights seem to stretch forever. It was never easy adjusting into mommy hood but as it progressing day by day, I learn to enjoy the bonding together with my baby and it’s where the excitement begins. I stop taking my prenatal vitamins after birth though it is advisable to consume them at least for a month (that what I have been told).

So anyway, I bet that friend mine will definitely enjoy her time with little “E” and I can imagine her singing already. Congrats! again my friend.

Life with Newborn

March 21st, 2010 No comments

Each newborn baby is unique and has their own special way of expressing needs, but they share the same basic needs. In the first few weeks they’ll communicate mainly through crying. They can sleep up to 8 hours a day or more. Caring for newborn can be very demanding that sometimes we overlook our own needs. Look after yourself by staying healthy i.e. sleep when the baby does, forget about doing the housework, it can wait, go for a walk with your baby, even if it’s only a short distance. Eat well and forget about looking for the best weight loss diet pills. Mums need all the energy, especially if you are breastfeeding.

You will also received advises from people around you, which may or may not be helpful. My advice trusts your instinct, and you will soon get to know your baby better than anyone else does. Newborns’ don’t just eat and sleeps; from the moment they born, they are more than just a bundle of needs. They get connected whenever you play, chat, show them things, and make faces at them. It’s all part of helping them to develop and giving them the best possible start.

His 1st Birthday

January 9th, 2010 2 comments

He turned 1 year yesterday 8 January. The first year of his life has passed now welcoming the toddler years. He has been walking by himself, since he is 9.5 months old, and now he is running. Happy 1st birthday little C. I wish we could celebrate your first birthday at myrtle beach sc..

I’ve a wonderful Boy, and I say to him, “Son,
Be fair and be square in the race you must run.
Be brave if you lose and be meek if you win.
Be better and nobler than I’ve ever been.
Be honest and noble in all that you do,
And honor the name I have given to you.

I have a boy and I want him to know
We reap in life just about as we sow,
And we get what we earn, be it little or great,
Regardless of luck and regardless of fate.
I will teach him and show him the best that I can,
That it pays to be honest and upright, a man.

The first picture taken recently when he turns 11 months and the second one taken February this year when he turns 1 month old. How time flies. Looking back when he was just a tiny baby, watching him grow and with all the milestones definitely brings memories, which are precious and never to be repeated again. I love to see His smile from his pure, innocent, charming and naughty smile melted my heart and brings joy to the family.

I ♥ Faces : Sweet Dreams

I watched a little face sleeping,
Eyelashes fluttering so,
I wondered of the dream you were having,
and if Angles were playing there.

I watched a little face sleeping,
Your little mouth was smiling so,
I hope that you are as happy as me,
holding you in my arms.

I watched a little face sleeping,
making sure of the breath you take,
to watch you breathe and keep you safe,
is all that matters to me.

I watched a little face sleeping,
holding your small hand in mine,
five little fingers on each hand,
as one hangs onto mine.

I watched a little face sleeping,
and as I prayed to myself,
I thank God for letting me
watch a little face sleeping.

MomBloggersPlanet Cutest Baby with TOYS Contest

August 13th, 2009 2 comments

Mom Bloggers Planet is having this Cutest Baby with Toys contest and I’m joining the crowd. The contest starts from 1st to 15 August 2009. For more information about the contest check it out at MomBloggers Planet Cutest Baby with TOYS Contest.   The prizes are sponsored by PhotoBookMalaysia and AliceWonders.

Meet my son Caleb Jason Vun born on 8 January 2009. The picture taken recently on the day he turns 7 months old. Now that he can sit up by himself, he can easily be distracted and takes notice of his surrounding. This is one of his favorite toys he played almost everyday. It’s from playskool and safe for machine wash. It has the combination of five stimulating colors and the different textures which offer fun and lasting roll-and-chase play. The textures invite the baby to touch and explore. This toy is a soft, durable and easy gripping. There is also jingle bells sound hidden inside and definitely stimulate the baby seeing, hearing and feeling.

It is a fact that toys in early childhood learning are an important part of starting the learning process and brings joy into their childhood memories. At the stage of self-discovery is all about children finding out everything they can do with their fingers, hands and bodies. I personally believe that exposing them into educational toys will delight, inspire, promote, boost their learning and enhance mental development. Playing with toys offer great fun and enjoyment for children. They learn a lot about their own skills and abilities and how things work by playing.

He is growing very fast. Now that he is 7 months he can crawl, very mobile, easily distracted and attempting to stand and walk by himself. He has started taking solid food and still nursing.
