A tough job

June 11th, 2010 1 comment

A funny Father’s day poem I found on the net. Make me smile when I read it. Happy Father’s day to all the daddy and don’t forget to fix the outdoor furniture if you have one.

Pull up your pants.
Comb your hair.
Brush your teeth.
Don’t you stare..

Mind your manners.
Do your homework.
Don’t stay up too long.
Take out the trash.

Rake the leaves.
Cut the grass.
Don’t play too rough.
Being a dad sure is tough,
You have to remember to constantly say,
All this stuff.

Home business

June 11th, 2010 No comments

A client came to the office recently asking for legal fee quotation for her business home based. I got so curious and instead of helping her on the fee quotation end up it is me asking her lots of questions on how does he came up with the idea of home business. Questions like getting industrial supplies from a different company, the start up capital and other things. She is so patience answering my question, and we exchange contact no. Who knows maybe one day I could start a home business like her.

Safety again

June 10th, 2010 No comments

Recently, I received a few emails on safety concern, especially women safety. I do concern about my own safety specially now when hubby is away, I do quite a lot of driving with the kids. The other day as I am on the way to the parking lot after finish work, I saw these two men talking to each other, they are about a block away from my car. As they start approaching me, I quickly entered, locked and immediately go.

My heart was beating hard and my mind wonder to make sense of it all. I didn’t tell hubby about it, I was going to ask him on how to get a roadside assistance when the car broke down in the middle of the road.

Lack of sleep

June 10th, 2010 No comments

Due to flu and difficulty in breathing at night, my little toddler has been waking up at least 3 times at night. I would bring him outside sit in a sofa until he fell a sleep and brings him back into the room. Other than feeling tired, I feel weak and need extra rest.

I’m just counting the days waiting for hubby to come back next Sunday. I hope to go for a mini family gateway or maybe just stay at home alone and sleep, and I also need to go to the insurance office to get our term life insurance renewed.

Fathers are wonderful people

June 9th, 2010 1 comment

Fathers are wonderful people
too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
as often as we should…

And Father struggles daily
to live up to “his image”
As protector and provider
and “hero of the scrimmage”…

And perhaps that is the reason
we sometimes get the notion
That Fathers are not subject
to the thing we call emotion,

But if you look inside Dad’s heart,
where no one else can see,
You’ll find he’s sentimental
and as “soft” as he can be…

And like Our Heavenly Father,
he’s a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
to be always on our side.
- Helen Steiner Rice

For all the fathers out there this poem is for you. I never had a chance to play with my father as he passed away when I was little. I remember my mother told us about him and how he looks great during their wedding day with his tuxedo vest on. Well…. not really a tuxedo but similar pattern.

Don’t wrinkle the soul

June 9th, 2010 No comments

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust. - Samuel Ullman

Talking about wrinkles I just read prototype 37c reviews on the net recently. It’s is on top three for the best wrinkle cream. I don’t mind trying the product if I were given free, but to buy… I’m very doubtful.

Decoration, decoration

June 4th, 2010 No comments

I read this somewhere “learn to dress your windows, floors, and walls with creativity, not cash”. I would love to learn this for free of course. I need to find my own creativity to decorate the house, despite my budget. Ever since we move in into this condo for a half year plus now, I haven’t gotten started decorating yet. My books are still sitting piled up in the store with other boxes of stuff and that haven’t been unpacked. Given a choice of decorating style, I would choose contemporary and modern styles with contemporary furniture.

Learning the treadmill

June 4th, 2010 No comments

I did my first treadmill exercise recently at our condo it is one of the facilities provided for the entire occupant. It’s not that hard to operate.  Walking on a treadmill is great when I need my exercise and can’t get outside, and I like it because I can run at whatever speed, I set. Well, I shall give it a try again when hubby comes back.

Back-up time

June 4th, 2010 No comments

It’s been a while, I didn’t perform any back-up for all my files. Now that I’m working the only time I use the computer at home is at night. If you spend great amounts of time using the computer for important personal or business dealings, then back-up is a must. We heard many computers crash stories and people who lost their files due to viruses. There are several methods for backing up files and that include online backup, which allows you to store files online. Whatever ways we choose, backing up your files are essential.

Flu again..

June 4th, 2010 No comments

The flu symptom is attacking again. My boy is having a runny and stuffy nose, and I have a sore throat, ringing ear and nose block. I hate it when it happens to me. With hubby away until the end of this month, I really can’t afford to be sick. My little toddler is getting it either. He has a difficulty of breathing at night due to nose block. I was just thinking whether I should get a home portable oxygen concentrators.
