The first month of 2010 will end in a few days. It was a busy month for me specially the first 2 weeks. I have started a new adventure that is learning how to sew and I’m loving it. I manage to make a dress for my girl as my first project. Then I tried making a handbag which I use for the One World One Heart giveaway event. Our marriage turns 9 years on Jan 6 and my baby turns 1 year old on Jan 8.
My son ‘A’ started his standard 2 this year and early this month he comes out with a suggestion that he will try to do his homework at school so that he has more time to play at home. I also notice that his Chinese has improved a little. He is now trying to converse in Chinese to his friend at school.
As for my soon 4 years old girl, well… she is still at home, and we are still considering whether to send her to play school this year or next year. Home schooling came into the thought but I really don’t had the courage to do it considering the amount of time spent ,the materials, commitment and others. I admire parents who successfully home schooled their children. We have been doing some phonics and spelling together (with my self-made alphabet) at home though it’s not consistent. I’m amazed at how fast she picks-up and remember those words. I am glad that she can write and spell quite a number of words by her own.
Not in the mood of blogging this month due to the busyness but I did finish all my blog assignment except for spine surgery Mexico. I thank God for a wonderful month of January and I’m starting to write what to do for February.
How about you? How was your January month?
Welcome to vunhome.com blog and thank you for dropping by.

Okay, so I bought a sewing machine early this year, and I have been playing with it. So here is my first self-made dress for my girl and more to come. I still need to be familiar with the pattern and the style of sewing. A lot to learn but it’s fun. This weekend I plan to go and search for a sewing magazine or book. I learn a lot from an online tutorial.
On top of that, I have been reading a lot on natural cholesterol treatment, low cholesterol food selection in daily diet, regular exercise, a small food portion and reducing the sugar intake. Ha..ha no! I’m just kidding.
It’s raining season, it’s cold and my 3 kids are having a flu. When it’s rain, I always feel the aching of my muscle specially the joints. Is this called arthritis? I know it is usually the elderly people are affected but younger and not so young person can also have this. There are quite a number of arthritis supplements in the market such as chondroitin glucosamine and others. Choosing one can be quite confusing advice and consultation from a doctor is needed.
Said the robin to the sparrow, “I should really like to know
Why these anxious human beings rush about and worry so.”
Said the sparrow to the robin, “Friend, I think that it must be
that they have no Heavenly Father, such as cares for you and me.”

Let’s face it. We worry about anything and everything. We know that worry can do no good, never solve a problem, useless and unprofitable. When we worry over something we attract whatever negative thought and pull the thing we are fussing about making it more prominent. It will then become bigger from small worry to be big. Unpleasant look will start appearing on your face, such as acnes, and if it does you will have to look for acne solutions later.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34
Positive thinking won’t let you do anything but it will
let you do everything better than negative thinking will.
We all need a daily check up from the neck up
to avoid stinkin’ thinkin’ which ultimately leads
to hardening of the attitudes.- Zig Ziglar
It’s been said that stress is part of life. In fact, it is sometimes necessary for us to grow and to know ourselves. Do you notice that sometimes when we are so stressful pimples and acnes starts appearing on the face? Hopefully, you won’t simply grab any acne cream assuming it is the best acne medication.
How efficient we manage stress, depends on the action we take. There are several ways to handle stress such as get enough rest/sleep, exercise, keep a positive attitude, eat a healthy diet and even reading quotes. Of course there are more.
We have been an Air conditioner user for many years. Maintaining one can be a costly affair if one did not do regular service on it. The AC filter is one of the good examples; it should be clean regularly and replace once its lifespan expired. A good AC filter can last longer and provide better air filtration.
Having said that, we still have another two new air-cond inside the store that we have not installed. This was given free to us (3 altogether) when we bought this condo. Now it’s almost a year we have stayed here, and so far we only install one. Now we were thinking whether to sell off that items and buy a different brand.
As a parent, I always have great concerns over the food being consumed and the nutritional needs by our children. Does the food has the necessary vitamin needed for a growing child? We all know some children are very picky when it comes to food. This is where supplements come into play as they may not get all the vitamins and other important nutrient they need. They are numerous dietary supplements available outside and can greatly benefit the child health.
