As he thinks in his heart, so is he..
It’s WFW again and I love it. It’s like I am creating my memory verse, meditation and graphic of the week. This week WFW hosted at extravagantgrace.

I began meditating this verse in 2006 when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. I was so worried about my pregnancy that I have to comfort myself and what better way to do it with the word of God. I found this verse really connected with my situation at that time and in fact this is one of my memory verses during my labor.
We often struggles with fear or anxieties and these are two examples of strongholds. In order to begin to take authority over our thought life we need to be aware about what we allow into our minds and what we allow ourselves to dwell on. For instance, when we start analyze our situation it can bring worry, doubt, confusion and can alter the way we think about that situation. It then becomes easy for the negatives to be enlarged and consequently these thoughts overpower and damage our faith in God. Whatever we meditate on will have a hold and control of our life. For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. It therefore follows that if we focus on a problem, it will magnify but if we focus on God, He will be magnified.
Knowing this, why allow all the negatives to be magnified? And why allow the enemy devil the right to continue to enforce them?

This is so true….”if we focus on a problem, it will magnify but if we focus on God, He will be magnified”.
You can see this child thinking…indeed a good choice for the verse….
Happy WFW
I love this, bless you.
This is a fantastic verse and well-explained application. I love the “God will be magnified” perspective and will be sure to apply this today!
Thanks for sharing!
Blessings, extravagantly!
I am saving this verse to my memorize list…what a powerful Word.
I will remember this statement…
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. It therefore follows that if we focus on a problem, it will magnify but if we focus on God, He will be magnified.
Something to ponder on
Happy WFW!

Beautifully said. What we do dwell on in our hearts so easily takes over our lives. I pray for all of us that we may dwell on Christ and allow His rule to reign in our lives. Thank you for sharing this verse and your encouragement along with it.
